ANNOUNCING THE PROGRAMS FOR WORSHIP & MUSIC

24TH BAPTIST CONFERENCE

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ from near and far,

In only 3 months, we the children of God will reunite in the valley of Golden Flowers, San Jose, California, coming from everywhere in the U.S. to give thanks to God and to build the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.   We want to praise God's Name, encourage the spirit of worship, and serve God together with all the congregations.  We wish to provide the conference participants with a worship program full of life, joy and the presence of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. With these goals, the music and worship committee would like to announce the following programs. 

The worship programs for the 24th Conference:  (need the worship team to cover).   We would like to ask for the participation by all ministers;  priority will be given to those who registered before March 31st, 2008.   

1. Thursday evening (3-7-08) (All participants): Opening night: Faith & Hope Church in San Jose
2. Friday morning (4-7-08): First Baptist Churh in San Jose

3. Friday evening (4-7-08): Grace Church in Francisco

4. Saturday morning (5-7-08): Projest Sent Me
5. Sunday morning (6-7-08) (All participants): Conference closing: Bay Area WS Band
In addition, the team for youth worship program (English service) will coordinate with the overall program of the conference. 

Main Worship Teams:  the 5 areas are invited to sign up

Need to prepare 5 songs for everyone to sing together, with English and Vietnamese (5 minutes max for each song):

1. Read a short Bible passage and begin with a song with an energetic song praising God's power. 
2. One minister will be invited to give the opening prayer  
3. Sing another energetic, happy song to give thanks to God;  afterward everyone in the congregation will greet each other. 
4. Sing one song with a soft melody to call for people to come close to God (possibly a solo or duo), people will come together and pray for each other (3-5 minutes)
5. Sing a song with fast tempo to praise God's glory.  Afterward, a minister will lead a short prayer to give thanks to God, invite people to sit, and introduce the main program.  
6. After the sermon, give prayer that follows the lesson (or some other activities) 
7. End with a strong song with lyrics that matches the sermon's message.

Worship leading team (minimum):  They need to know song well and carry the melody with a clear voice.  Please come up and go down quickly and quietly, without cue.  Prepare powerpoint and give to the sound/projection team to show to audience.

Band (minium): 1 piano, 1-2 keyboard, 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drum (it would be very nice to have violin, brass, etc.  Please arrange and mix sound to make it lively). The sound system will be provided, please bring your own instruments (contact the Organizing Committee if you need assistance) 

Special Songs for each worship: Priority given to songs that fit the Conference topics and that have been arranged ahead of time: 

1. 1 song for full (more than 20 singers) (We would like to encourage participation during the main worship, especially for group with choral dress) – Please pre-register
2. 1 group song  (less than 10 singers) – Please pre-register
3. 1 duo or trio song – (may be sung during offering)
4. 1 solo song

During time for witness,  praise (noon and afternoon): volunteer singing groups

Priority will be given to witness or events that have been pre-registered so that the music and worship committees can arrange into the appropriate program.

 

Evening music program for sharing God's words, Saturday, July 5th, from 7:00pm – 10:00pm Đêm Ca Nhạc Thánh Truyền Giảng
In the spirit of praising and thanking God, we would like to make the following announcement concerning the music program for the conference. 

Audience: God's children from all Baptist congregation (both English and Vietnamese)

Contents: to prepare for the music program, we would like to ask for your active participation by:

• Register with the organizing committee your song presentation;  if possible, please send a demo video, cd or tape of your song, before May 31, 2008.
• Quí vị sẽ nhận được sự trả lời của ban tổ chức trong khoảng thời gian 2 tháng trước khi đại hội diễn ra.
  - Vì thời lượng chương trình có giới hạn nên chúng tôi chỉ có thể chọn lọc một số tiết mục gắn liền với chủ đề của Đại Hội. Kính xin quí vị thông cảm
  - Để đảm bảo về mặt chuẩn bị và sự phong phú về hình thức của chương trình kính xin quí vị lưu ý đến thời lượng của tiết mục mà mình sẽ tham gia (có thể từ 3 đến 6 phút)

Hình thức: những tiết mục tham gia có thể theo những hình thức sau

- Âm nhạc(sing or play songs): đơn ca, song ca, tốp ca hoặc độc tấu, hòa tấu nhạc cụ

- Múa Thờ Phượng (body worship): có thể múa đơn hoặc nhóm theo sự dàn dựng của biên đạo múa.

- Tiểu phẩm kịch hoặc hài kịch (short play or comedy): xin gởi demo video hoặc nội dung vở kịch đến ban tổ chức.

- Tiết mục đặc biệt: Những nhà Truyền Giáo và Các Dân Tộc: (Mỗi đội tham gia có 1 nhà truyền giáo biết chào hỏi (bằng tiếng dân tộc) và đọc câu KT Giăng 3:16 bằng tiếng dân tộc đó, những người dân tộc phải hát hoặc múa một bài ngắn về dân tộc mình, có trang sức đồ dân tộc). Nếu có biểu tượng về dân tộc đó càng tốt.(Trình bày 3-5 phút). MC của chương trình sẽ phỏng vấn vui.
- Làm Chứng Đặc Biệt: Những Cuộc Đời Được Biến Đổi
Ưu tiên cho những người mới tin nhận Chúa hoặc trải qua những kinh nghiệm thật sống động với Chúa để có một đời sống mới trong Ngài và đem lại những kết quả thật rõ ràng, thuyết phục (dưới 10 phút). Mục đích cho thân hữu và tôi con Chúa nhận biết quyền năng biến đổi của Chúa để họ cũng hết lòng tin cậy nơi Ngài.

Chú ý:

- Vì là một chương trình Thánh Nhạc với mục đích Ca Ngợi và Truyền Giảng, nên không nhận những lời làm chứng, giới thiệu hoặc quảng bá bất cứ chương trình hay sản phẩm nào trong khi chương trình được diễn ra.

 - Sau khi đã ghi danh đủ các tiết mục, chúng tôi sẽ trực tiếp thông báo đến quý Hội thánh và con cái Chúa chương trình chi tiết để chúng ta sẽ chuẩn bị chu đáo hơn.

- Chương trình sẽ có những thay vào giờ chót nếu hết sức cần thiết, xin quý vị thông cảm.
